MICHAEL W. STUMBAUGH, II
Mike is involved in all aspects of complex commercial and general civil litigation for the firm. His practice includes drafting and arguing motions and briefs and representing the firm’s clients at hearings, mediations, binding arbitrations and trial. Mike further provides his clients with legal analysis and advice on a variety of complex statutory and regulatory issues. Although his practice primarily focuses on litigation, up to and including trial, he has also authored a prevailing appellate court brief before the Texas Court of Appeals.
Representative Experience
Successfully defended, at trial, a state-wide utility company in a lawsuit involving plaintiff’s claims of property damage
Successfully defended a breach of contract case for corporate client in which the plaintiff took nothing and client was awarded attorneys' fees
Successfully mediated a settlement agreement involving a homeowner and several corporate defendants in a lawsuit involving a faulty metal roof
Assisted in defending a medical care provider in a week long jury trial in which the plaintiff was seeking millions of dollars for wrongful termination but the jury verdict awarded the plaintiff nothing
