Overview
As an experienced and successful litigator, Senior Attorney Alex Bell starts to develop sound, effective strategy the minute a client entrusts a case to him. The vigorous advocacy he consistently delivers is grounded in his continuous examination and adaptation of those strategies and his adeptness at finding the often-critical details that others miss.
Alex has extensive experience handling large-loss and catastrophic cases involving multiple fatalities or serious injuries from construction, dram shop, transportation, and oil field/industrial incidents. From managing the accident scene through discovery, trial, and final disposition, Alex helps clients navigate these complex and high-exposure matters with clarity and confidence. He also has an active docket of hospitality and entertainment-related cases, representing national restaurant groups, live entertainment venues, athletic/entertainment venues, and other industry clients.
In addition to his trial work, including having tried numerous civil and criminal cases to jury verdict, Alex also assists clients with handling and responding to investigations by various government agencies for civil, criminal, and regulatory issues, including OSHA, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Real Estate Commission, and the Texas Railroad Commission.
A University Scholars graduate of Baylor University, Alex earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law, where he was on the Dean’s List, won multiple moot court and mock trial competitions, and served as Executive Vice President of the Student Bar Association.
Alex is very active in the legal community, having been twice appointed by the State Bar President to serve a three-year term on the State Bar Committee on Administration of the Rules of Evidence. Alex is also a former two-term director on the board of the Texas Young Lawyers’ Association.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife Kim, and children, Laura and Charlie. He also volunteers his time with several local non-profits, serves on the Public Safety Committee for the City of University Park, and tries to find time for the occasional round of golf.
Alex is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western, Northern, and Southern Districts of Texas.
