Focusing her practice on commercial litigation, professional liability, and employment litigation matters, Kate has represented clients from a broad range of industries, including commercial real estate, construction, insurance, oil and gas, medical, and transportation. From Fortune 500 companies to entrepreneurs, Kate’s clients value and rely upon her sound legal guidance, creativity, and skill to obtain favorable resolutions in their most important legal matters.

Kate strongly believes in providing excellent service by ensuring timely and efficient client communication. In every case, she is committed to finding practical, cost- effective solutions designed to avoid further legal disputes and expense. To that end, Kate seeks to find negotiated resolutions when possible, but enjoys creating and presenting powerful advocacy at trial or arbitration when settlement cannot be reached.

Kate obtained her bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where she was awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship and graduated with honors. She earned her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University, earning the Mercer County Bar Scholarship among other honors.

When not working on legal solutions for her clients, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Kate is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, U.S. District Courts for Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Representative Experience

  • Secured favorable mediated settlement agreements for engineers in professional liability claims in state court.
  • Obtained dismissal of deceptive trade practices, breach of contract and product liability claims asserted against an internet based data provider in Texas state court.
  • Successfully obtained dismissal of claims asserted against an automobile component part manufacturer in a wrongful death case filed in the Southern District of Texas.
  • Won partial summary judgment motion in Southern District of Texas on behalf of national importer and distributor of pyrotechnic devices in case involving catastrophic injuries which ultimately resulted in the favorable settlement of claims.
  • Obtained default judgment and ultimately secured a favorable settlement for an international oil and gas company
