By taking a holistic view of a case, Hil can develop strategies that efficiently and effectively reduce client exposure while facilitating prompt, favorable resolutions.

Hil’s practice focuses on the defense of clients against construction, premises liability, products liability, and toxic tort claims. He also has substantial experience successfully defending medical and veterinary professionals in malpractice cases, obtaining dozens of favorable settlements and non-suits. His talents and accomplishments defending medical providers and insurers in commercial litigation and medical malpractice matters earned Hil recognition on the 2020-21 “Ones To Watch” list published by Best Lawyers in America.

Hil joined the firm after several years of practicing law in several different capacities, including as a litigation associate, an attorney advisor with the U.S. Small Business Association, and as a registered FINRA arbitrator. Prior to starting his legal career, he served as managing partner of a successful Dallas real estate investment and management company.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Hil earned his law degree from St Mary’s University School of Law. When not serving his clients, he enjoys playing golf and spending his time walking his dogs at all the DFW parks.

  • Represented numerous veterinarians in malpractice cases, acquiring routine prejudicial dismissals and or resolution through summary judgment or nominal settlement due to my superior knowledge of the law and veterinary medicine
  • Successfully represented numerous small businesses in premises or auto liability in reducing liability/damages via summary judgment motion practice and retention of expert witnesses with impeccable credibility, such credibility and opinions leading to swift settlement and resolution of matters
  • Significant Trust and fiduciary litigation experience relative to investment standards and duties of loyalty and care owed to trust beneficiaries
