Macdonald Devin’s Architects & Engineers Professional Liability team returned to Dallas this week after completing a two-week trial in Chicago before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. The A/E Team defended the architect/engineer professional in an alleged design defect case brought by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for $11.5 million arising out of flooding of a combined storm and sewage overflow distribution chamber. Post-trial briefing will be completed in 90 days. The A/E team will then argue the case to the presiding judge in Washington, DC in December. A decision is expected in January, 2019. Lead counsel for the A/E team is Greg Ziegler. Associate Ty Vessels assisted and Darshea Allen-Harriel provided paralegal support.
