About Susan
How did you get into the legal field?

I began working at the Dallas County District Attorney’s office when I was 21 years old with the intention of becoming an attorney. I was unable to pursue law school but continued in the legal field as a legal assistant/paralegal until 2019 when I moved into the Accounting Department. I believe my legal experience allows me to bring a unique perspective to Accounting.

What is the best advice someone has given you?

Learn from the mistakes of others, you can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. My mom shared that with me when I was in my 20s and I did not fully understand it like I do now.
