Senior counsel John Safarli and associate Jordan Harrison recently obtained a successful result in Federal Court on behalf of a manufacturer of temperature-controlled food and beverage display cases. A food display case manufactured by MDMKH’s client was installed in a store of a multinational retailer. The plaintiff was electrocuted after touching an exposed wire inside the case and sued the retailer, claiming the case was improperly repaired and maintained.

The retailer identified our client as a potential party at fault during discovery, and the plaintiff added our client to the lawsuit.  John and Jordan worked quickly with our client to marshal evidence. Less than 90 days after the case was assigned to MDMKH, John and Jordan moved for summary judgment.

On the brink of having to respond to the motion, the plaintiff agreed to voluntarily dismiss our client with prejudice from the lawsuit. This victory is representative of MDMKH’s aggressive and proactive approach to defense work that delivers results for our clients and their insurers.
